Prepare to be entertained, enthralled and downright scared by a night in the most haunted building in Peterborough. But you've been warned, you might see some of the stories come to life in front of you.

Horror Night is one of our scariest events this Halloween season - not recommended for under 14s.

Candlelit Ghost Tour (Age 14+)

Dare you spend the evening by candlelight at a tour of the most haunted building in Peterborough?

Join a costumed guide to hear some ghostly stories about the people who have lived and died in the corridors and galleries of the Museum. You won't look at it in the same light again...

Halloween Ghost Walk (Age 8+)

This Halloween, join a costumed guide to discover the eerie secrets of Peterborough’s most spooky locations on this city walking tour.

Listen closely to the city’s more morbid tales and keep an eye out for any ghastly apparitions who may appear as they hear their stories told…

An Evening at the Priestgate Vaults (Age 8+)

Explore the museum’s 500 year old cellars with a special guide as ghosts from the past tell their stories. Venture down under the museum building and see the original features such as the remains of the Tudor house which once stood here, but they also have a sinister side...

Not recommended for those of a nervous disposition.

Grab a torch and explore our galleries on a torchlight trail. Plus, try your hand at creepy crafts and hear spooky storytelling. Ticket price includes a horrifically-good hot chocolate.

Wonderous School of Wizardry & Witchcraft returns for 2024!

Join wizard, Erasmus Nettles, for a brand-new magical experience as he returns for his second year at our Wonderous School of Wizardry. Help him complete challenges that will bring the reality and science of magic to life! Take part in spellbinding experiments, like making your own potions and discover the amazing science behind them. Uncover ancient runes and explore the weird and wonderful history of science. Will you make the grade to graduate as a full-blown wizard?

Tiny Tots Spooky Special

A special one-off session, that includes messy slime, sensory play and storytime. Perfect for confident walkers to under 5s.

Stained Glass Workshop

Sat 19 Oct, 10am - 4pm

New this year! Decorate your home with unique stained glass ornaments made by you. Using copper coil and solder method, local artist Louise Denney will lead you through this seasonal workshop. Create stained glass pumpkins, ghosts, bats or your very own spooky design. End the workshop going home with two or three pieces.

Escape the Priestgate Vaults

Three fantastically brilliant escape rooms delivered by Escape Peterborough. Choose from:

  • Buried Alive
  • The Hunt
  • The Great Wine Cellar Swindle

Bookings available: Thu, Fri, Sat afternoons

Please Note: Expect shocks and surprises throughout the escape experience. Unfortunately the Vaults are not accessible for those with mobility issues.
