Celebrate the vibrant creativity of Tony Nero, a well-established Peterborough artist whose work is a dynamic mixed media using a variety of mediums, such as pencils, charcoal, pastels, oils, watercolour, stipple-dot drawings and most recently spray paint.

Tony has previously held solo exhibitions at the museum, in PAOS events, and showcased the talents of his students from Peterborough City College. This new exhibition offers a fresh opportunity to experience and enjoy his distinctive artwork, free entry for all visitors.

Talk: In conversation with Tony Nero

Join local street-artist Nathan Murdoch as he sits down with artist Tony Nero for an open and honest conversation about his artistic journey — from the highs and the hurdles, to what it means to be considered a Peterborough celebrity.

Workshop: Portrait in Charcoal
4 Dec, 11am - 2pm

If you don’t mind getting your hands messy then join artist Tony Nero for this hands on portrait workshop. Step by step, you will be taken through one of his favourite drawing techniques. Exploring mark making using sticks of charcoal, charcoal pencils and a putty rubber. This is an opportunity to draw one of the portraits in his exhibition while looking at tonal values in black and white.

Workshop: Animal Portrait in Acrylics
15 Jan, 11am-2pm

Art is all about mark making, regardless of what medium or materials you’re using. Have some fun while exploring one of Tony’s distinctive style and techniques. Lets go wild in creating a vibrant animal portrait, fusing abstract with realism and creating an exciting and interesting piece of art to be proud of. A step by step guide using acrylics, paint brushes and a palette knife.
