Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery are delighted to announce that they have been awarded £168,000 from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s Museum Renewal Fund award. The funding is designed to protect cherished museums and their collections for their local communities and provide a stable base for museums to build towards a sustainable future. The funding is intended to help museums meet the shortfall between operating costs and income throughout their 2025-26 budget.
Sarah Wilson, Heritage Manager at Peterborough Museum advised; “we are delighted to receive this funding directly from government. The money will help to safeguard the Museum and the service it provides for the local community by providing investment in new income generation activities and contributing to new spaces that will attract future funding and footfall”.
