Teacher Network

Our learning team are dedicated to fostering curiosity, empathy and creativity, engaging with more of Peterborough’s young people, schools and our wider community. To do this, we are always looking to work with teachers, to meet their needs and find out how we can improve our service.

Join one of our Teacher network events to learn more about a particular teaching topic, meet with local teachers or discuss other learning opportunities.

Free CPD Events

Our CPD events are subject specific to provide you with contextual and local information about a unit you may be covering with your students.

During our 2024 Must Farm Exhibition, we held a 'Bronze Age' CPD event for teachers to find out more about local archaeology, Must Farm and handling replica items.

Bookable CPD Session

Are you looking for some training for your staff or an ITT group? We provide CPD sessions that can cover the following:

  • Story of Peterborough (local history focus)
  • Learning through objects
  • Subject specific knowledge (Romans, Prehistory, Victorian, WW2, Evolution, Rocks, Fossils, Archaeology, Art)
Teacher Open Evening

We host an annual Open Evening for teachers to speak to the Education Team, handle our resources, visit our galleries, meet other education professionals and find out more about the sessions.

Teacher Consultations

To help shape our learning programme, we invite teachers to discuss developments to it. You may also receive behind the scenes updates, booking discounts or gain early access to new resources and sessions.

Venue Hire

If you would like an independent visit with your class and need a 'base' to work in or perhaps are looking for an interesting, alternative meeting space for staff, you can hire one of our non-education rooms during the day.
