FAQs

I have booked my session and can no longer attend that session, can I swap?

Although we are unable to swap your session, we can process a refund so you can then book another session. Please be aware that refunds can take some time to be processed by our ticketing provider.

I have booked a session but arrived early; can I go in?

The exhibition has a maximum capacity for each timeslot. If we have reached this capacity, we are unable to let anybody else into the gallery. We also close the gallery for 30 minutes between sessions. Please enjoy the rest of the Museum before your allocated start time or relax in our Squires Coffee House.

Do I have to arrive at the start of my session?

You can arrive anytime within the 2-hour timeslot, but please allow enough time to look around the whole exhibition. We would advise arriving at least 30 minutes before your timeslot ends.

Can I park at the museum?

We do not have visitor parking at the museum. We are 5 minutes' walk from both Queensgate multi-story car park and Car Haven. We do have one disabled parking space; this is on a first come first served basis.

Can I take pictures?

Yes. Snap, share & tag as much as you like!

Is the Art Gallery wheelchair accessible?

Yes, you can access the lift from the ground floor temporary exhibition gallery, please choose M for the mezzanine level.

Is the exhibition suitable for children?

We would advise parental/guardian guidance. There are many Doctor Who Monsters in the exhibition that might scare small children.

Are there flashing lights or loud noises?

There are flashing lights in the third gallery, light levels are low throughout the exhibition. There is background music.

We are offering Sensory-Friendly Sessions on the first Wednesday of every month, 9:30am session.
(2 Jul, 6 Aug, 3 Sep & 1 Oct)

How long does it take to look around the exhibition?

That depends on the individual. For some they enjoy the exhibition for 30 – 45mins others will be in for over an hour.

Is this a touring exhibition?

This exhibition has been brought to Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery by a group of collectors and model makers specifically for this exhibition, curated by Derek Handley. There are no immediate plans for the exhibition to tour.

Can we look around the rest of the museum?

Of course! The museum is free to enter; we have a temporary exhibition gallery on the ground floor and our permeant galleries are on the first and second floors.

When will the exhibition be changing?

There will be a few changes/additions to the exhibition in July 2025. Follow us on Facebook for more announcements.

Are all the props original?

The exhibition is made up of a mixture of original and replica items. Please refer to the exhibition labels for more information
